Nestled in the foothills of the Tux Alps, the Gartalm has fabulous mountain slopes and flowery meadows. It’s a real paradise for hikers and mountaineers. Enjoy nature with all the cows, sheep, bees and fish or just sit back and listen to the birds.

An excursion to the Gartalm makes a fun-filled day out. As well as having a wealth of hiking options, you can also visit a working mountain farm or simply watch the fish in our Alpine pond, the marmots with their shrill whistles, the chamois on the rocks or the eagles.

The Gartalm is open from the end of May until the end of October. If you need to replenish your energy, you can stop for refreshments up at 1,860 m. To find us, take the road up from Fügen or hike along the trail from the Spieljochbahn mountain station. From Schwaz, take the Kellerjoch-Bahn lift and hike over the Kellerjoch.
