The Zillertal: a winter sports paradise
|
Snow is guaranteed right through to April. In total, you have a choice of 187 km of slopes. You won’t miss out on anything here: long ski runs, carving, snowboarding, tobogganing and off-piste, deep-snow and mogul runs. Click on a panoramic image to open the interactive map.
With the Superskipass, you can extend the offering to include: 649 kilometres of slopes throughout the Zillertal, comprising 74.4 km of black slopes, 410.8 km of red slopes and 164 km of blue pistes at 550 to 3,250 metres above sea level.
SPIELJOCH SKI AREATake the Spieljochbahn lift and start your day’s skiing just 700 m from the hotel.
The base station area is perfect for beginners, with magic carpets and easy downhill runs for young learners. There is also a guest kindergarten.
The Spieljoch offers 21 km of well-groomed slopes with 8 lifts, deep-snow runs and toboggan runs.
CROSS-COUNTRY SKIINGBoost your energy levels while cross-country skiing in the Zillertal! On the sunny, wide valley floor of the Lower Zillertal, the snow glitters and the varied, well-groomed cross-country skiing tracks wind their way through the winter landscape, passing villages and woods. Breathe in the fresh mountain air on the 70 km of trails, which also include high-altitude tracks.
TOBOGGANINGClimbing up to the top of the hill on foot makes the tobogganing back down twice as much fun. Snowball fights and messing around in the snow are all part of the experience. Most toboggan runs in the region can be reached on foot – and there is usually an inn at the top where you can stop off to enjoy a Jagertee (tea with schnapps). The Goglhof toboggan run is not far from the hotel and is 3.5 km long. |
